Experience the Magic of Symphony in the Cities
This summer, Pacific Symphony is bringing a delightful musical experience to the heart of Orange County with its annual “Symphony in the Cities” series. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of City of Hope Orange County, these concerts are free for everyone to enjoy! Join us as we visit Mission Viejo, Orange, Lake Forest, and Irvine for an unforgettable evening under the stars.
A Summer Tradition: Music for All
Music Director Carl St.Clair has carefully curated a program that promises to entertain and inspire audiences of all ages. From the timeless classics of Tchaikovsky and Gershwin to the iconic movie scores of John Williams and Alan Menken, there’s something for everyone. The concerts will also feature spirited marches by John Philip Sousa and other patriotic tunes that are sure to stir your heart.

Featuring guest violinist Rubi Lee from Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra (c) Doug Gifford.
Family Fun Before the Concerts
Families are encouraged to arrive early with their picnics, blankets, and chairs to make the most of the pre-concert festivities. The Symphony’s Musical Playground will be open, offering a range of fun and educational activities for children. Kids can try out instruments at the instrument “petting zoo,” get creative at the musical craft station, and even participate in a S.T.E.A.M. Station to learn about the science of sound. Plus, don’t miss the conducting clinic led by Maestro St.Clair himself! All young conductors will have the unique opportunity to help lead the orchestra in a special performance of Sousa’s “Hands Across the Sea.”

A Message from Maestro St.Clair
“I think I can safely speak for all of us at Pacific Symphony when I say that there is no time of year we enjoy more than summer! Living in beautiful Orange County, we are so fortunate to have the opportunity to head outdoors for our ‘Symphony in the Cities’ concert series and spend time with people we might not otherwise have the chance to meet. We’re grateful to this year’s wonderful host cities of Costa Mesa, Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Irvine, and to the Musco Center for the Arts at Chapman University in Orange, as well as all the fantastic individuals who work so hard to make these concerts an enjoyable experience for all.”
